Why?
1. They have two mottos, one official and one not-so-official and both make me very happy.

2. The Polyphonic Spree come from Austin, and that is reason enough.
3. The The South by Southwest Festival.http://sxsw.com/
4. Amazing crafters like Paloma's Nest (whose super-cute custom bangles, printed with the words "You are a shug" and rather delightfully, "Puck", made a great Christmas present for Sparky's sister last year).
5. Dazed and Confused was filmed there, and for some reason, I love that movie.
